Elizabeth Gomez is a Family Nurse Practitioner in Occupational Medicine at Erickson Living. She has also been a provider at a busy Community Health Center in an urban city, primarily working with underserved families as their Primary Care Provider. She earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from the MGH Institute of Health Professions and is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nursing Credentialing Center. Elizabeth was inspired to become a Nurse Practitioner after witnessing their influence on the care of the patients at the MGH Center for Women’s Cancer while she worked to managed their clinical trials program. Desiring to mirror that immediate impact the role of a Nurse Practitioner played in the health team, Elizabeth was motivated to attend Nurse Practitioner school and was able to do so after being awarded the Knowles Fellows Scholarship, provided to support the culturally underrepresented in the health professions. Elizabeth thrives in a diverse environment and has a passion for working with low-income and strongly believes in social justice and healthcare equality for all. Elizabeth enjoys helping her patients in the community with diabetes and believes that her cultural competence allows her to connect with families on a therapeutic level to educate and treat their disease. Elizabeth is a devoted wife to her loving husband of over 6 years and a mother to a very active, sweet and funny 2 year old boy who is the absolute light of her life.
